Adult sites operator LiveJasmin announced on Monday a partnership with PumaPay, a startup that provides a blockchain-powered billing system known as PullPayment Protocol. Under the agreement, LiveJasmin will use PumaPay’s infrastructure to accept cryptocurrency payments on all its websites. Moreover, the models, studios, and affiliate agents will also be able to get paid in crypto.
PumaPay allows recurring payments, which are ideal for subscriptions. Such payments were hardly available on blockchain before. Thanks to the protocol, users can pay anonymously while merchants can save on card payment fees.
As reported earlier, the PumaPay Protocol was developed by blockchain startup Decentralized Vision, which focuses on crypto payment processing solutions for merchants. The protocol relies on the Ethereum-based ERC-20 contract standard, which fits any billing needs.
LiveJasmin co-founder and CEO Károly Papp commented:
“LiveJasmin believes in innovation, hence why we are constantly seeking to improve and enhance our features and services, and being the market leader often goes hand-in-hand with offering our members the most options possible. User anonymity and privacy are also paramount for the website.”
PumaPay’s ecosystem comprises more than 70 early adopters. Other brands include Rent24, CCBill, Vivid Entertainment, and Pornhub. The latter recently added Tron (TRX) and Zencash (ZEN) as payment options for premium memberships.
PumaPay CEO Yoav Dror stated:
“As a payment solution, PumaPay hopes to put clients back in control of their choices and transactions, as they will be able to cancel their subscriptions straight from the PumaPay wallet app, should they choose to do so.”
Pornhub, which enabled crypto payment several months ago, revealed earlier in October that less than 1% of its users choose to pay with crypto at this time.
