End of July Launches: See the Networks Moving to the Next Stage
The successful price movement in the first half of 2019 nudged multiple projects to move on with the next stage, their official token launch.
Mainnet launches are happening left and right at the end of July. For some projects, the milestone arrives relatively early, but others drifted for months, delaying the launch during the bear market. July 31 was selected as the launch date for a handful of networks.
QuarkChain (QKC) has chosen the date to swap its tokens, a short time after launching its mainnet. The token swap will follow the usual path of being supplied by exchanges, as more market operators will be announcing their support for the process.

“Unlike other blockchain projects that forced the holders to swap from ERC20 tokens to mainnet tokens, QuarkChain will in the future provide a token swap tool that can support the conversion from ERC20 token to mainnet token easily, and vice versa. This ensures the use of the mainnet function, and makes it easier for future lists in more exchanges. In addition, it avoids the losses and risks caused by the token swap.”
The entire QKC supply will remain constant at 10 billion tokens. The decision to preserve the old tokens was taken because some users may decide to use QKC on exchanges, and others will need the new token to explore the full functionalities of the new QKC network.
Unfortunately, QKC prices have fallen in the past month, sliding from $0.22 about a year ago down to $0.014 after a long price stagnation.
The other notable event is the Fetch.AI (FET) mainnet alpha launch. Fetch.AI was one of the most high-profile token sales on Binance, and the project is closely watched for potential success. After a price discovery period, FET now hovers around $0.09, and the news of the mainnet launch failed to cause a more significant rally.
Another project, AdEx Network (ADX) has completed its token swap on July 31. ADX tokens remain based on the Ethereum network, but with another issue of tokens to avoid previous smart contract glitches.
Achain (ACT) and MediBlock (MED) also line up as lesser-known projects reaching their mainnet milestone. July was a month rich in new network events, showing that while there was not the expected price boom and altcoin season, various startups continued on their goals of seeking blockchain applications.
