Coinbase Launches A Suite of Services for Cryptocurrency Rookies

The leading US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase launched a kit of services for novice crypto traders.

Cryptocurrencies are regarded as a groundbreaking innovation that will revolutionize finance and transform society. However, many people are still wary of this novelty, and choose to stay away from digital assets. Even in developed countries there are people who are unfamiliar with the concept. Coinbase seeks to turn the tide, and has launched a suite of tools to help people get to know cryptos and eventually buy their first coin.

"The vision of an open financial system depends on people’s ability to understand, explore, and choose cryptocurrencies. We expect that millions of people will make their first cryptocurrency purchase in the coming years. But all too often, getting started can be overwhelming for people learning about crypto for the first time," the company writes in its blog post.

A suite of new features offered by Coinbase will create a stimulating and friendly environment for non-tech savvy people to learn and explore this exciting type of asset. The new kit will include three types of services:

  • Coinbase Bundle: A way to start investing in all five cryptocurrencies available on the exchange at once, by-passing the tiresome procedure of creating separate orders for each asset. Novice users are often intimidated by the complexity of technical and fundamental analysis. Coinbase promises to relieve them from this burden. The Bundle works as a market-weighted index with a minimum investment amount as low as $25. The service will be available for the US and Europe over the coming weeks.
  • Informational Asset page: A directory with comprehensive information about the top 50 cryptocurrencies, including their market value, current price, and links to useful resources such as the projects' white papers and websites. This service is deemed as a starting point for those who want to know more about cryptocurrencies, including those that are not currently available for trading on Coinbase.
  • Coinbase learn: An educational portal where people can find answers to some of their crypto-related questions. This service will be helpful for beginner traders who struggle to understand the fundamental principles behind the technology. A selection of questions and answers presented on the portal are hand-picked to create a solid knowledge base for people entirely new to cryptocurrency.

Earlier this week, Coinbase revealed a new listing policy that will allow any project to apply for being added to a set of cryptocurrency assets tradable on the platform.
