Blockchain Ad Exchange AdEx Partners Ink to Auction 2 Million Ad Spaces

AdEx, the blockchain-powered ad exchange, has partnered up with Ink, one of the world’s top travel media companies, in a bid to organize an ad spaces auction, which will be the first of its kind.

Built on the Ethereum platform, AdEx is a decentralized ad exchange which uses smart contracts to allow publishers and advertisers to interact seamlessly and transparently, without having to rely on multiple exchanges with complicated processes. The project has several popular blockchain partners, such as NEO, Wings and the Fintech Blockchain Group.

Ink, on the other hand, is a leading travel media company that reaches over 775 million passengers a year and has partnerships with over 22 airlines and travel groups. The company is known for effective advertising content that caters particularly to the travel niche.

The partnership between AdEx and Ink is a strong development when put in context, given how Ink is a media company with industry-wide connections and AdEx brings a technological edge to the entire media buying and selling experience.

At this stage, the two companies are going to work together for an ad spaces auction that will sell spaces on boarding passes using blockchain technology.

"We are pleased to be working with AdEx to deliver advertisers such a targeted medium, and to be involved in this media first."

"This is a giant step for us as it bridges travel media, advertising and blockchain to offer advertisers even more opportunities for reaching their desired target audiences."

While results of the auction and more details will be announced next week, a successful run may lead to future implementations that could push the blockchain adoption drive further.
