Mark Cuban could be the first NBA team owner to allow for fans to buy tickets to games with Bitcoins. He’s confirmed the allowance would start next season.

He owns the Dallas Mavericks, and has been an outspoken proponent of cryptos, so it seems this move is a natural one for the billionaire.

News of the crypto acceptance unraveled on Tuesday via Twitter when someone asked Cuban about it. Here’s the Twitter exchange:

From there, Cuban responded to Bloomberg’s inquiry about the tweets. Here’s what they reported.

"True," Cuban answered to an emailed question from Bloomberg News on whether the team would accept Bitcoin payments. "And we will be taking Ether as well. As far as tokens, we will be taking tokens originated by companies we have business relationships."

If this happens, Cuban’s move would be groundbreaking as there are no other reports of an NBA team owner making similar moves. So the fans of his team who use cryptos may be saying now “Go Mavs!” for another reason.
