Binance’s Changpeng Zhao Threatens Bitcoin SV (BSV) with Delisting

Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, threatened to delist Bitcoin SV for aggressive community behavior, after a proposed doxing of user Hodlonaut.

Binance’s Changpeng Zhao threatened to delist the Bitcoin SV (BSV) project after a scandal related to the claims that Dr. Craig Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto. Wright offered a bounty for doxing used Hodlonaut, as he has been known for his aggressive stance to those who try to disprove the claims he is Nakamoto.

The Bitcoin SV project is the alternative version of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which now has the support of Wright. In the past, he has supported Bitcoin Cash, but now sides with Bitcoin SV, as he sees large blocks and vetted, known miners, as the answer to scaling. Wright has had increasingly aggressive spats on social media, culminating in the deletion of his Twitter profile.

Wright intends to sue the user Hodlonaut for his disbelief, as he has threatened in the past. Now, the Twitter community has been standing behind the anonymous account:

The BSV digital asset spun off Bitcoin Cash (BCH) after almost two weeks of a “hash war” where two chains coexisted without replay protection. Later, BSV spun off as an alternative coin, and has dealt with the task of proliferating experimental large blocks. Bitcoin SV spent a short spell claiming to be “the real Bitcoin Cash”, while now the general view is that Bitcoin SV was the true vision of Satoshi Nakamoto.

BSV is still listed on a limited number of markets, with relatively slim trading activity on Binance. The Bitcoin SV community has, in a way, attempted to disown Wright because of his aggressive stance. However, the project is not seeing immense popularity, except for inviting miners.

BSV traded around $71.09 on Friday, on volumes around $156 million’s equivalent. BSV was left behind BCH in valuation terms, reaching prices above $300.

Binance has become one of the hubs not only for trading but as an idea hub of the crypto community, offering popularization and education services.
