An active angel investor, Ben Davenport is among the founders of BitGo – the leading infrastructure company for Bitcoin and digital currencies. Established in 2011, BitGo offers a digital wallet and a Bitcoin security platform. Davenport is currently chief technology officer of the company. Previously, Davenport co-founded and served as CEO of social mobile web service Beluga. The business was acquired by Facebook in 2011 and became the foundation for Facebook Messenger. Davenport joined the social media group and worked there as a software engineer for more than three years. Davenport has also done software engineering for two other technology giants - Microsoft and Google. He holds an engineer’s degree in computer science from Princeton University and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Washington.
